Lesson 2 goes back over the C from the first lesson and then adds the two notes just above it, D and E. That sounds like a small step, but those three notes are already enough for a few basic songs, and Hot Cross Buns is a good one to try first.

The drill runs three short lines and moves back and forth across the trio until the changes stop needing thought. On the 12-hole ocarina all three sit at the bottom of the main range, with no sub-holes and no thumb holes involved, so the only real job is sealing each hole fully. If a note squeaks or wobbles, slow down and check the fingers that should stay put. Speed comes later.
