About Ghost Chickens in the Sky#
Ghost Chickens in the Sky is a Boy Scout campfire parody of Ghost Riders in the Sky, the cowboy song Stan Jones wrote in 1948 and Johnny Cash later recorded. The scouts keep the haunting western melody and put chickens in the sky instead, which is exactly as silly as it sounds around a fire.
This is one of the busier tabs on the site, ten lines and 69 notes. It runs from C up to high F and is full of accidentals: C#, Eb, G#, Bb and high Eb. Two of those, C# and Eb, are played by closing the small sub-holes, and the high Eb and high F open the thumb holes. Learn the verse slowly before you try the chorus.
